Rose Festival, Chandigarh is held in the famous Zakir Hussain Rose Garden at Chandigarh. That covers 30 acres of land having 1600 different species of roses. This is the largest rose festival of the country. Every year, this festival is celebrated in the Rose Garden in the last week of February or during the first week of March. Around 15000 to 20000 people gather from across the globe for this festival every year. The festival is organized to encourage people to enjoy the grandeur of the blooming roses and their attraction.
It consists of various competition, cultural programs, classical and folk dances, musical performances, flower shows, exhibitions and many other events .
